World Biogas Expo 2026 Programme
Watch this space…
The programme for the World Biogas Expo 2026 is currently in development and will be announced soon.
Bringing together global leaders, innovators, policymakers and industry professionals, the Expo will once again deliver a dynamic and forward-thinking agenda at the forefront of the anaerobic digestion and biogas sector.
Building on the success of previous years, the programme is expected to cover a wide range of critical topics, including policy and regulation, decarbonisation strategies, carbon markets, feedstock innovation, digestate management and advances in biogas upgrading and biomethane production. Sessions have also previously explored financing and investment, plant optimisation, safety and the integration of biogas within wider energy systems.
With expert speakers, panel discussions and practical case studies, the 2026 programme will provide valuable insights and actionable knowledge for all stakeholders across the industry.
Stay tuned for updates as we reveal more details in the coming months.

Theatres and Seminars

ENGINE ROOM THEATRE
The Engine Room Theatre offers a comprehensive exploration of key industry topics including regulatory standards, advanced fuels, plant performance optimisation and emissions abatement. The programme features expert-led sessions on breakthroughs in carbon markets, innovative digestate management solutions, methane control strategies and other essential developments.

SUMMIT THEATRE
The Summit Theatre features high-level strategic debates. This thought-leadership forum uniquely dedicated to AD and biogas reviews all the key aspects of this fast-developing sector – from the international context and emerging markets to waste management, city infrastructure and finance – and the increasingly significant role it plays in providing solutions to climate change and other global challenges – such as energy and food security as well as air and ocean pollution.
Join panel debates with key stakeholders in the AD and biogas industry, share thought-leadership with experts in the sector.

FARMERS BREAKFAST
The Farmers Breakfast brings together on-farm AD plant operators, farmers using AD co-products such as bio-fertilser as well as farmers and landowners interested in developing new AD plants on their land.
In previous years, topics covered include the importance of a land use framework, as a mechanism to ensure a proper balance between food security, nature preservation and clean energy; the central role of biogas in regenerative farming and the revenue stream to be had from ‘carbon harvests’; and how reduced chemical use through nutrient recycling pays dividends by reducing input costs and protecting biodiversity.

LOCAL AUTHORITIES LUNCH
The Local Authorities Lunch is a pivotal meeting uniting local councils, anaerobic digestion plant operators, waste management companies, investors and law firms under one roof.

NATIONAL ASSOCIATIONS ROUNDTABLE
The National Associations Roundtable attendees include the Chief Executives, Presidents and decision-makers of biogas national associations from around the world.
The core objectives of the roundtable is to share experiences of challenges and solutions for the biogas industry and identify tools to help all national associations and their members be as effective as possible in their country.

HOST YOUR OWN WORKSHOP
Examples of past workshops included themes such as satellite data’s role in the monitoring, verification & reporting of methane emissions. Do you have ideas for workshops for 2026?
