Biomass Shredder BMS 1200: The reliable and economical shredder for small to medium-sized biogas plants

After the successful introduction of the high throughput biomass shredder BMS 1500, the Tietjen biomass shredder BMS 1200 is now designed for medium and small biogas plants with a throughput of 8 – 10 t/h.

The BMS 1200 grinds the biomass instead of cutting it up. Only in this way the biomass can be optimally prepared for fermentation, the maximum biogas yields are achieved, and floating layers are reduced.

This optimal defibration and the reliable and robust design of the BMS 1200 increase the efficiency of small and medium-sized biogas plants.

Biomass, such as solid manure, is gently shredded in a single step with the BMS 1200. The discharge in the ground prevents bridging and blockages. All wear parts, such as beaters and impact plates, are made of wear-resistant materials such as tungsten carbide or Hardox and are easily accessible and simple to replace. The low noise emission of the BMS120 is due to the special geometry of the housing, rotor and beaters. In addition, shrinkage sensors protect the BMS 1200 from damage caused by imbalance and the ingress of foreign matter.
