Seville-based Engineering Firm AZCATEC to Showcase its Solutions at the World Biogas Expo 2025 in Birmingham
Seville, Spain – May 27, 2025. Spanish engineering company Azcatec, known for its expertise in industrial plant design and engineering, will be exhibiting at the World Biogas Expo 2025, the world’s leading trade event dedicated to anaerobic digestion and biogas. The event will take place on July 9–10 at the NEC Birmingham, United Kingdom.
Azcatec has been actively developing biogas and biomethane plant projects since 2023. The company joins this global event with a clear mission: to position Andalusia (Southern Spain) as a strategic hub for biogas and biomethane development in Europe, helping to attract investment, generate green jobs, and boost regional industrial capabilities.
Organized by the Anaerobic Digestion and Bioresources Association (ADBA) and the World Biogas Association (WBA), the two-day expo will gather major global stakeholders and industry leaders. The event combines a large exhibition space with a high-level conference programme focused on market trends, regulatory updates, and the latest technological innovations in the biogas sector.
“Our participation in the World Biogas Expo 2025 is a unique opportunity to build partnerships with companies and institutions across Europe, and to promote technological cooperation as
a core driver of the energy transition. We want to showcase Azcatec’s engineering capabilities in the design and development of biogas and biomethane plants, as well as our ongoing projects that turn low-value organic waste into a key energy resource for European energy independence. In addition to renewable gas, these processes also generate fertilizers and industrial gases essential for improving agricultural productivity — a clear example of circular economy in action,” says Aurelio Azaña, CEO of Azcatec.
The event will culminate on July 9 with the AD and Biogas Industry Awards Ceremony, which honours innovation and excellence in advancing sustainable energy solutions worldwide.
