Pick up the report ‘The Role of Green Gas in Net Zero’ and meet the authors
For several years there has been a mystery about UK towards climate change and net zero emissions: the lack of serious interest in green gas – biogas and biomethane. Why?
The fundamental problem has been an underestimate by UK policy-makers of how much organic material could be used to generate biogas, and therefore how big the sect or could become. ADBA set out to rectify that omission with this study, commissioned Business Modelling Applications (BMA) to incorporate biogas and biomethane into its DecisioTM AI-assisted planning system – a computer model of the whole energy system currently being used by both DESNZ and NESO. The report was written by Chris Huhne, Dr Gareth Mottram (pictured right), Luis Angel Resendiz and Dr Craig Mauelshagen, and it was edited by Jon Hughes.
This report provides ADBA’s findings, which will surprise Whitehall.
